Tell me, what is a stairwell without a window? Even if it's slimline or a skylight it would be a bad choice to not add natural light and interest to a flight of stairs where possible. More and more we are seeing homes that are built around stairs, where previously it was common to hide them. This resonates well with our desire for structural statements; we love to make the most of elements of the home that are there for a purpose and turn them into a feature.
