Internal partitioning in the commercial sector has a significant impact on how the office functions. Here at Ahpra privacy is an important factor and we were able to meet all their requirements with the specialised elements built into each product.
Acoustic Framing
Our acoustic frame is a double glazed section with an extra wide gap between the two glass panels for increased noise insulation. This gap in the extrusion is almost four times the width of a standard double glazed pocket, and requires two sheets of laminated glass for glazing rather than traditional double glazed which is supplied as one panel of glass. For the greatest level of noise privacy, we chose the Laminated Safety Glass which has an interlayer of PVB between two sheets of glass to increase the absorbtion rate of sound vibrations. The advanced technology of laminated safety glass allows for an increase of 60-65% of noise reduction over traditional glass panels.
Rib Look Privacy Panel
Without doing a double take, you'd think that the glass used for this project was a privacy/clear hybrid. Enter the adhesive rib look panel which is applied to clear glass to blur specific areas of glass rather than the whole panel. This technique allowed us to use the laminated safety glass for the whole project ensuring consistency across the entire project.
